Video: Dallas Murder Suspect Leads Cops on High-Speed Car Chase

A man wanted in connection with a Dallas murder reached speeds of up to 100 mph in an effort to escape police, but officers eventually caught up with him on foot.

Dallas police tracked down a murder suspect following a high-speed car chase that ended in a foot pursuit Wednesday.

The chase began when officers tried to stop the suspect in the city's Red Bird neighborhood, and the man fled east along Interstate 20, KDFW-TV reports. He reached speeds up to 100 mph while trying to escape police, who fell back to comply with the department's policy on speeds during traffic pursuits.

After a few minutes, the suspect lost control of his vehicle, slamming into another vehicle and a fence. The man abandoned his vehicle and began running.

He eventually reached and entered a nearby trucking company. That's where he eventually he was apprehended by police.

The identity of the man and details concerning the murder case in which he's suspected were not released.
